Folios 667-668. Letter from W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, informing them that a magistrates' order, obtained by the guardians for a man to pay 1s per week to support his pauper father, is now in arrears, and the magistrates' clerk advises that the original claim should have been made by the churchwardens and overseers of the pauper's parish. Goodacre asks if a new order should be made as, if the present one is valid, it cannot be amended or increased, as in the Board's letter of 18 February 1860.
Annotated: assuming that the pauper is chargeable to the Common Fund, refer to 11& 12 Vict c110 s 8.
