Desiring addressee to recommend that the government command the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford to admit him as deputy to Doctor Thomas Hoy, reader and professor of physic. Gives memorial of his case and difficulties he has had in being admitted. Enclosures:
Copy of licence to Doctor Hoy, giving permission to travel overseas and permission to appoint a deputy or deputies to take over work in his absence. Dated 23 July 1709.
Memorandum of appointments of Doctor Hoy's deputies, 1709-1716. Information for 1716 notes that Hoy had made Lasher his deputy in this year, but that Dr [Philip] Code refused to allow Lasher's appointment. Dated at Oxford.
