2. Affidavit of Robert Johnstoun [Johnstone] of Angus, stating that Thomas Fotheringham influenced his son to join the rebels, mentioning the father's escape from Wintoun House, Canongate, Edinburgh, and flight to France. Dated 24 December 1716 at Carlisle [Cumberland].
3. Affidavit of James Cheyne, as above. Dated 24 December 1716.
