Enclosing:
1. Affidavit of Thomas Fletcher, of Hutton Hall, Hutton-in-the-Forest, Cumberland, an acquaintance of Hay's in London, vouching for his sympathy with the 'present Establishment'.
2. Affidavit of George Steel, describing Hay's return home to 'Braes of Marr', Aberdeenshire [Braemar?] and the influence of John Stewart of Boggs, near Strathbogie [Aberdeenshire]. Dated at Carlisle [Cumberland].
