Petition of Robert Rollo of Powhouse, now a [Jacobite] prisoner in Carlisle [Cumberland], mentioning his ill-health, treatment at Pitkeathlie [Pitkeathly Wells, Perthshire], and Perth, as well as Dunning [Perthsire], and Innermay [Perthshire]. Enclosing:
1. Affidavit of James Johnston, physician, and William Stirling, surgeon, both of Stirling [Stirlingshire], describing his ill health, their advice to visit Pitkaithlie Wells, and mentioning his son James Rollo. Dated 19 December 1716.
2. Affidavit of William Hall, of St Ninians [Stirlingshire], Baker; Thomas Smart, merchant of St Ninians; and Robert Rollo, gentleman, of Clackmannan [Clackmannanshire] in favour of Robert and James Rollo. Dated 18 December 1716 at Carlisle.
3. Affidavit of Matthew Keir, of Innermay, in favour of Robert and James Rollo, mentioning James Langland of Pitkaithly. Dated 21 December 1716 at Carlisle.
