Description

Folio 164. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to William E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, acknowledging an earlier letter dated 10 July 1847, containing a list of twenty eight able bodied men, residing in Sutton-in-Ashfield, to whom the board of guardians have given relief. The Commission advise that they sanction the relief afforded in the case of the able bodied men referred to.
