Folio 257.
To: Henry Austin, Chief Superintending Inspector, The General Board of Health.
From: The General Board of Health.
Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 19 May 1854, requesting that the several plans and reports which were placed at the disposal of Mr Wicksteed, Consulting Engineer, might be forwarded to Austin, to enable him to form an opinion on his report on the water supply of the district of Leamington. Haymes advises that the documents in question have been forwarded by rail today. With reference to Austin's question as to the number of mills below the proposed source of supply which will be affected by the intended works, and as to what the probable amount of compensation to be paid for the abstraction of water will be, Haymes advises that he is not in possession of any data from which he can give the information required.
