To: D Johnson, The District Fire Insurance Company, Leamington [Warwickshire].
From: The General Board of Health.
Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 1 March 1854. It is stated in reply that the General Board cannot enter into any further consideration of this matter 'in answer to letters from an individual member of the Leamington Local Board asking for an opinion on an opinion which the Local Board as a body seem to have adopted'. Johnson is advised that if the question be brought before them by the Local Board through the ordinary channel of communication between the Local Board and the General Board, 'i.e. the Clerk', they will give the matter 'their best consideration'.
