Folios 196-197.
To: The General Board of Health.
From: A Haymes, Clerk to the Local Board of Health of Leamington [Warwickshire], Gray's Inn Coffee House, London.
Letter enclosing a schedule of suggested new clauses 'so far as the same are applicable to the repealed clauses of the Local Acts with the corresponding Sections in those Acts, together with a reference to the Provisional Order where applicable'. Haymes requests 'a few lines on the resolution of the Local Board respecting loans - the object being to ascertain if the General Board can by any general enactment facilitate the borrowing of money for public purposes at a reasonable but fixed rate of interest, and at the same time save the heavy legal expenses attending the present mode of raising money'.
