To: The General Board of Health.
From: A Haymes, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Leamington [Warwickshire].
Letter calling attention to a paragraph contained in a certain public report emanating from the General Board of Health on the district of Croydon [Surrey], in which the Consulting Engineer recommends that that the Board does not 'interfere unnecessarily' with the Local Board of Leamington as they 'have not been able to obtain their assistance so readily as we could have desired'. Haymes expresses surprise at these words, which he submits 'never proceeded from or was sanctioned by the Local Board of Health for the district of Leamington'.
