To: The General Board of Health.
From: A Haymes, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Leamington [Warwickshire].
Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 2 September 1853, enclosing a copy of a case, and the opinion of the Law Officers of the Crown thereon, on the constitution of the Leamington Main Sewerage District. Haymes encloses the further opinion of Sir Fitzroy Kelly and Mr Hayes on the same question, together with a copy of the recommendation contained in his report to the Local Board in reference thereto. Haymes requests the cooperation of the General Board in applying to parliament as early as possible in the next Session, for further legislative enactments as suggested in his recommendation. He also enquires as to what claim (if any) the General Board have upon the Leamington Local Board for expenses incurred in applying the Public Health Act 1848 to their district.
