Anglo-Russian Understanding - Advance to Persia: reports that Minister for Foreign Affairs explained that if His Majesty's Government made British participation in advancing the second moiety conditional on Russian recognition of the British line from Birjand-Bunder Abbas the Russians would have to advance it themselves if it was urgently needed; suggests HMG do not lay down conditions but go hand in hand on the whole advance.
