Roxburghe, on the referral to the Treasury of the petition of James Holbourn. The Petitioner having always supported the Protestant Succession, served as a volunteer with his son at Stirling and 'ventured his life' at the Battle of Dunblane [Sheriffmuir], seeks a yearly pension or relief as he was severely burdened (by the plundering of his house and removal of his young family to Edinburgh) during the late 'Unnatural Rebellion'.
