Roxburghe, on the referral to the Lord Advocate of the petition of Patrick Douglas. Having been seduced into the (late) rebellion, was taken at Preston and sent for trial in London. Being gratiously released from imprisonment, the said petitioner seeks the mercy of a royal pardon to 'dutifully' enjoy his estate.
