'The humble Petition of Alexander Brand of Bradfield in north Britain Knight', together with his enclosed petition to Stanhope and his lordship's directions to the Commissioners of the Treasury dated 29 July 1718. Regards 'Crown and Bishop's Rents' in Orkney and Zelland [Shetland] from 1693 and the removal of a parcel of arms to Edinburgh Castle during the 'Invasion of 1708'. Postscript listing papers referred to in the petition (including orders for the payment of £1500 sterling).
