Description

Envelope mounted on card divider item 18 with typed caption, 'Classes V, V1 [officially designated V/09]' containing photographic images of these classes of North Eastern Railway Atlantic 4-4-2 locomotives [designated Class C6 by London and North Eastern Railway]:

1) Monochrome postcard published by Locomotive Publishing Company with printed caption on front, 'Atlantic Express Locomotive NER', [W Worsdell Class V] locomotive No 649 [image c.1904], 9cm x 14cm, see also items 13, 14 and sub-items 2-5.

2) Colour postcard published in Valentines Series with printed caption on front 'North Eastern Railway', [W Worsdell Class V] locomotive No 649 [image c.1904], 9cm x 14cm, see also items 13, 14 and sub-items 1, 3-5.

3) Colour postcard published in The Knight Series No 983 with printed caption on front 'New Atlantic Type Express Engine North Eastern Railway For Working Trains Between York And Newcastle', [W Worsdell Class V] locomotive No 649 [image c.1904], 9cm x 14cm, see also items 13, 14 and sub-items 1, 2, 4, 5.

4) Colour postcard published in 'The Railway Magazine' Series with printed caption on front 'North Eastern Railway [Class V] Express Locomotive No 649 Designed By Mr Wilson Worsdell Chief Mechanical Engineer' followed by brief dimensions [image c.1904], 9cm x 14cm, see also items 13, 14 and sub-items 1-3, 5.
