Description

Roxburghe, on the enclosed petition of Captain James Innes being referred to the Lord Advocate. That Captain Innes of Macartney's Regiment seeks pardon to return home. Having been involved in a duel at the time of the elections in 1710, enlisting abroad, and having been reduced [after the wars] 'cannot live out my native Country upon half pay'.
