Concerning his consent to the construction of barracks on his lands, and the building of Fort William by General MacKay in 1690/91 in the time of his father the late duke. The memorialist bringing particular attention to their loss of rents under Colonel Hill, and the reparations and damages caused by the demolition of Maryburgh village.
