Townshend to the Lords Commisioners of the Treasury. Concerns the appointment of Robert Craigie and Alexander Gairden as assessors to His Majesty's Advocate and Solicitor at Edinburgh, in all prosecutions (civil or criminal). Instructing them also to repair to Carlisle to assist in the prosection at the trial of the [Jacobite] criminals there, paying each the sum of £200.
