Reproduced at various dates, the maps which constitute this series contain information relating to the period from the sixth century to the nineteenth century. The majority are of the British Isles. They include reproductions of the work of such well-known cartographers as Thomas Jefferys, Ibrahim Müteferrika, John Ogilby, John and Mary-Ann Rocque, and N.J. Visscher.

The maps are of unknown provenance.
