Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 15 October 1863 about whether a relieving officer would be justified in giving an order for medical attendance where the applicant states he has the money to pay but where the doctor refuses to attend without an order. The Poor Law Board wish to be given the facts of this unusual case.
