Letter from Thomas Day, Clerk to the Guardians of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, asking if a relieving officer would be justified in giving, or refusing to give, an order to the district medical officer, in midwifery cases when the applicant both has the money and is willing to pay the doctor but the doctor refuses to attend without an order from the relieving officer.
