Folio 596. Draft letter from Henry Fleming, Secretary to the Poor Law Board, to Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union. In a recent return of the male occupiers of Bewdley borough, the number of occupiers of rentals of £10 and upwards is 546, but there are only 355 voters registered on the parliamentary register. The Board ask the reason for this discrepancy. They also ask what amount of weekly rental is represented by the rates of occupied property where the rates are over £6 but under £7.
