Sent by Sir John N Jordan, the British Legation, Peking.

Transmits despatch from Acting Commercial Attaché, Mr A Hosie and from Messrs Alex Ross and Company regarding the piracy, for use in China, of a British trade mark (the crocodile mark of Sir Elkanah Armitage and Sons Limited), by a Japanese merchant; points out urgent necessity for an agreement with Japanese Government for reciprocal protection; includes extensive minutes.
