Extract and a cutting from 'Railways' June 1942, pages 103- 107.'The Electric Railways of Merseyside'. No 3. 'Liverpool Overhead Railway' by Ian MacNab. Article describing the need for the line, its construction and operation. There are also two paragraphs about the company tramway, which ran fourteen cars. There are six photographic illustrations of which two feature tramcars.
