Extracts and a cutting from 'The Railway Magazine' July 1950, pages 486- 489, pages 468 and 469. 'The Liverpool Overhead Railway'. A brief history with details of construction, power sources, signalling and war damage.There is also information as to why the system was not nationalised under the Transport Act 1947. There is a line map, four photographic illustrations ( one showing war damage), a monochrome illustration of the company emblem and a drawing of a station nameboard.
