Extract from 'The Railway Magazine' June 1932, pages 403- 410. 'The Liverpool Overhead Railway' by W Hadfield Craven. This article is similar to earlier ones (ZSP11/668/6 and ZSPC11/668/7) as to construction, operation and technical details, but concludes with a description of an end to end journey with details of the types of cargo handled by the various docks with origin and/or destination. An improved line map is included and seven photographic illustrations.
