John CROMARTY-TULLOCH, aliases J C Dixon, Mrs WILKES: British. Involved in Force 136 with the Karen underground forces in Burma during World War II, CROMARTY-TULLOCH continued his support for them after the war, supporting a Karen insurgency in 1948. His activities were monitored by the Security Service. In 1952 he was convicted of the fraudulent conversion of money entrusted to him for the education of a Karen boy in the UK and sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment
