Julius HAMMER / Armand HAMMER: Russian, American. A founder member of the American Communist Party, Julius HAMMER came to notice in the 1920s as being in contact with a person suspected of transmitting funds to the USA for revolutionary purposes and as the founder of several companies believed to be under Soviet control, notably the Allied American Corporation of which his son Armand HAMMER was an official.
