Folio(s) 181-182. Letter signed 'Gilbert', 'a Republican'. The author warns the Home Secretary to guard the people's rights and liberty or his personal safety will be at risk. He asserts that France has inherited England's greatness and calls the English nobility 'a race of mongrel and degenerate cowards'. While not claiming the crown, he denies the present king's title to it and vows the destruction of the royal family and nobility. He will dedicate his time to fighting against the enemies of the country.
