Folio(s) 158-160. Letter from Francis Findon, Shipston upon Stour, Worcestershire, enclosing a notice found pasted to a wall in the town centre on market day. It has caused alarm in this previously peaceful town, especially to those named in the notice. Findon asks for advice on how to proceed.
Enclosed: Hand-written notice threatening that, if farmers do not lower the price of corn and thus make bread cheaper, their corn will be set on fire. Messrs Pratt, Hollier and Sadler are threatened with having their places burnt if they fail to abandon corn jobbing.
