To: The Local Government Act Office.
From: John G Heaven, Clerk to the Bristol Local Board of Health, Prince Street, Bristol [Gloucestershire].
Letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 10 February 1869, enclosing a copy of a letter from the Chairman of St George's Sewer Authority, with reference to the Frog Marsh Drain, and advising that local inquiry in the matter had been directed by the Home Secretary. Heaven states in reply that this is the first notice the Local Board has received which indicates that the matter had been brought to the attention of the Home Secretary.
