Description

Folio 442.

To: The Local Government Act Office.

From: Josiah Pople, Chairman of the Sewer Authority, St George [Gloucestershire].

Letter advising that the first meeting of the St George Sewer Committee has now been held, at which a memorial enclosed with a letter dated 3 April 1868 was taken into consideration. Pople advises that the Committee resolved to 'direct George C Ashmead to prepare a rough draught of a Sewage District, to include that part of the parish known by the several names of Upper Easton, Lower Easton, Whitehall, Moorfields, the Fire Engine, Barton Hill and Russell Town; or such portions of the said places as the levels of the land may make it convenient and advisable to include in such Sewage District'.
