This series comprises LOCOG's extranet, known as 'The Exchange'. An extranet is a private network that uses internet technology that allows controlled access from the outside for specific business or educational purposes. Extranets are extensions to, or segments of, private intranet networks that are created for information sharing and e-commerce. 'The Exchange' was created for sharing information with LOCOG's external business partners.
