Description

Captured ship: De Vier Goede Vrienden otherewise Four Good Friends of Amsterdam (master Charles Mayer).

History: a Dutch merchant ship (100 tons, 8 men), bound from Tenerife to Hamburg, laden with wine; taken on 18/29 March 1748 off Cape Ortegal by the privateer Defiance (John Lauga commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
