Captured ship: Le Victorieux of Bordeaux (master Jacques Mée).
History: a French merchant ship (200 tons, 10 guns, 33 men), bound from Saint Domingue to Bordeaux, laden with indigo, cotton and acjou wood; taken on 11/22 September 1744 off Cape Finisterre by the privateer Godolphin (Roger Skinner commanding), and brought into Exeter.
