Captured ship: Le Vainqueur otherwise Le Vanqueur of Nantes (master Jean Honorati or Honnorati or Hon Orati).
History: a French merchant ship (150 tons, 8 guns, 23 men), bound from Martinique to Nantes, laden with sugar, coffee, indigo and hides; taken on 22 June / 3 July 1747 off Ushant by HMS Advice (Richard Haddock commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
