Captured ship: Les Trois Soeurs of Bordeaux (master Hugues Macnamara).
History: a French merchant ship (180 tons, 6 guns, 28 men, 2 Irish boys), bound from Martinique to Bordeaux, laden with sugar and coffee; taken on 22 June/3 July 1744 in latitude 47°20'N by HMS Hampton Court (Savage Mostyn commanding), HMS Chester (Francis Geary commanding), HMS Grampus (Richard Collins commanding), and brought into the River Thames.
