Description

Captured ship: Les Trois Frères of Dunkirk (commander Godefroy Bachelier).

History: a French privateer (40 tons, 16 guns, 57 men), bound from Dunkirk on a cruise; taken on 18 April 1745 about 4 leagues east of Flamborough Head by the privateer Jamaica Sloop (Robert Jeffries commanding), and brought into Hull.

  • [CP 4]: allegation;
  • [CP 5-CP 7]: two attestations as to papers, and a translation of the letter of marque.
