Description

Captured ship: Les Trois Amis (master Dominiq Dubourg).

History: a French merchant ship (100 tons, 7 men - who abandoned the ship), bound from Nantes to Bordeaux, laden with wheat, butter and china; taken on 8/19 July 1745 off Isle Dieu by the privateer Greyhound (George Cooke commanding), and brought into Exeter.

  • [CP 6]: allegation;
  • [CP 7-CP 8]: attestation as to papers, and abstracts and translations of the 3 ship's papers.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1-SP 4, letters, orders.
