Captured ship: Le Terrible of Brest (commander Le Compte de Guay otherwise Le Compte Dugay).
History: a French warship (74 guns, 684 men), bound from Brest to Martinique; taken on 14/25 October 1747 in latitude 47° by ships in Admiral Hawke's squadron during the second battle of Cape Finisterre, and brought into Portsmouth.
