Captured ship: Le Télémaque or Thélemaque of La Rochelle (master Pierre Robert), formerly the Mary Ann.
History: a French merchant ship (180 tons, 12 guns, 36 men), bound from Saint Domingue to La Rochelle, laden with sugar, indigo and wood; taken on 10/21 July 1744 in latitude 46°N by the privateer King William (Thomas Cornish commanding), and brought into Kinsale, Ireland.
