Captured ship: Le Tavignon of Le Travigney of St Malo (commander Pierre Ruant or Ruault, Seigneur de la Motte).
History: a French privateer (200 tons, 24 guns, 120 men), bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 25 January / 5 February 1747 about 10 leagues east of Plymouth by HMS Grand Turk (Anthony Kerly commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
