Captured ship: Le Rostan of Bordeaux (master Jacques Garbay).
History: a French ship (230 tons, 12 guns, 34 men), bound from Saint Domingue to Bordeaux, laden with indigo, coffee and sugar; taken on 25 August / [5 September] 1744 in latitude 44°N by the privateer Queen of Hungary (Joseph Dommett commanding), and brought into Bristol.
