Description

Captured ship: La Reine des Anges of St Gilles (master Pierre Tardy).

History: a French ship (60 tons, 12 men), bound from St Gilles to Bayonne, laden with salt; taken on 10/21 August 1746 off Bordeaux by the privateer Willing Mind (Daniel Le Preveu commanding), and brought into Jersey.

  • [CP 3]: allegation;
  • [CP 4]: abstracts and translations of the 3 ship's papers.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1-SP 3, bill of lading, muster roll, ship's pass.

[Decision: condemned as prize, 23 October 1746]
