Captured ship: Le Pont Carré otherwise Le Président of Granville (master François Le Graveren).
History: a French ship (350 tons, 14 guns, 28 men), bound from Martinique to Brest, laden with sugar, coffee, indigo and hides; taken on 23 June / 4 July 1747 in latitude 48°N by HMS Advice (Richard Haddock commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
