Captured ship: Le Pierre Marie of Argenton (master Pierre Colein or Collain or Collin).
History: a French merchant ship (30-40 tons, deserted by the crew) taken on 15/26 July 1745 with seven others in the River of Bordeaux by the privateer Mary Galley (Samuel Thoume commanding) of which seven [eight?], two were ransomed for want of prize crew, four were sent off for Guernsey (this ship, La Marie Catherine of Conquet (master Yves Le Gal), Le Bon Secours of Noirmoutier (master Jean Michaud) and St Anne of Bordeaux (master Francois Maurin)); and two others remained with the captor until brought into Guernsey.
