Description

Captured ship: St Pierre (St Peter) (master Christofer Jensen otherwise Christian Jensen).

History: a Danish merchant ship (30 lasts, 5 men, 1 boy), bound from La Rochelle to Dunkirk, laden with brandy; taken on 11/22 June 1745 by the privateers Swift (George Hudson commanding) and Fox (Richard Castle commanding) and brought into the Downs.

  • [CP 5]: allegation;
  • [CP 6-CP 8]: attestation as to papers, and two sets of abstracts and translations of the 35 ship's papers (all restored).
