Captured ship: Le Pérou of Quebec (master Marc Guerard).
History: a French ship (120 tons, 16 guns, 21 men and two English prisoners), bound from Quebec to La Rochelle, laden with oil skins, elephants' teeth, cotton and castor stones [?]; taken on 1/12 December 1745 in latitude 47°N by the privateers Duke of Bedford (George Snow commanding) and Lowestoff (Charles Fielding commanding), and brought into Bristol.
