Captured ship: La Parfaite of Dunkirk (master Charles Joseph Durie).
History: a French privateer (110 tons, 24 guns, 62 men), bound from Dunkirk on a cruise; taken off the Dogger Bank on 20/31 October 1745 by HMS Pearl (Richard Haddock commanding), HMS Folkestone (Peter Dennis commanding) and HMS Sheerness (William Bully commanding), and brought into the Downs.
